No. 01 · Grower

For Hay Producers and Dairy Operators

You are the applicator and the buyer rolled into one. Whether you treat hay at the swather or feed treated forage directly to your own herd, your neighbors trust your judgment because they can see the tangible results on your operation. The network turns that localized, hard-earned trust into direct earnings. When neighboring farms see your dry matter retention and ask what is in your tank, you have a formal system to monetize that referral without becoming a full-time salesperson.

No. 02 · Advisor

For Consulting Nutritionists and Advisors

As a consulting nutritionist, feed-company specialist, or independent agronomist, your forage recommendation carries significant weight because your clients pay for objective, outcome-driven expertise. We built the Advisor track to provide the empirical data you need to back those recommendations, alongside a transparent partnership structure that protects your professional integrity.

Your credibility relies on hard data, not marketing fluff. That is why our network anchors on rigorous field metrics. By giving you direct access to outcomes from Study 01 (Milk Component) and Study 07 (Mycotoxin), we provide the exact SCC, DMI, and mycotoxin reduction metrics required to formulate confident TMR adjustments for your producers.

‍The Commission & Client Disclosure Model:
‍Advisors select between two distinct paths. The commission path (10% Year 1, 5% renewals) requires mandatory, documented client disclosure to maintain absolute transparency and comply with professional ethics standards set by organizations like ARPAS (American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists). If your firm prohibits compensation, you can select our technical-only path, giving you zero commission but full access to technical data packs, pilot cohorts, and ARPAS speaker opportunities.

No. 03 · Researcher

For University Extension and Forage Researchers

As a university extension specialist, PhD candidate, or animal-science researcher, your published work and peer presentations carry a level of credibility that no commercial actor can replicate. We do not pay per-sale commissions to academics. Instead, the HayRite network funds your independent work and scales its support as the science you publish drives regional agricultural improvement.

‍The COI-Safe Funding Structure:
‍We fund research through a strict, COI-safe funding model administered directly through your university's sponsored research accounts. This partnership begins with a base grant for your independent investigator-initiated trial. Rather than tracking individual sales, we issue scaled field expansion grants (e.g., an additional $15K at 50 producers, up to $100K at 500 producers) as HayRite adoption grows in your study region. This aligns our financial support with regional adoption without triggering institutional conflict-of-interest (COI) flags. Why researchers are different. Per-sale commission paid to a published researcher creates a documented financial conflict that compromises the academic credibility their endorsement is built on. The Research Field Funding model gives researchers meaningful upside aligned with regional adoption — the same incentive — without the per-sale attribution that triggers institutional COI flags. Funds are paid into the lab account for follow-on research, not personal compensation. This is the same model NIH and USDA use for industry-academic partnerships.

Common questions.

When do I get my referral code, and how does payment work?

Approved members receive their unique referral link and code within one business day of approval. Commission accrues continuously, with payouts monthly via direct deposit or check. Tax forms (W-9 collection, 1099-NEC issuance) are handled automatically by the affiliate platform.

What happens if I select multiple roles?

Many members fit more than one. Where the roles have different commission structures, the network defaults to the most generous structure that applies — except for Researcher, where the Research Field Funding model takes precedence over per-sale commission to protect academic standing.

If I'm a consulting nutritionist, do I have to disclose to my clients?

If you elect the commission path: yes. We provide a standard disclosure form. If you prefer not to disclose, the technical-only path gives you everything else in the network — pilot cohort access, technical pack, ARPAS speaker opportunities — without commission.

I'm a researcher. How does Research Field Funding actually work?

A base grant ($40-80K) funds your initial Investigator-Initiated Trial. Tiered field expansion grants are awarded as HayRite adoption in your study region crosses thresholds — +$15K at 50 producers, +$30K at 100, +$50K at 200, +$100K at 500. Funds go into your lab account through standard university grant administration.

What about FTC disclosure for storytellers?

Required. All sponsored content must include #ad, #sponsored, or "in partnership with HayRite" prominently — the FTC's standard for affiliate compliance. Non-compliant members are warned in writing once and removed on the second occurrence.

Can I leave the network later?

Anytime. Resignation is one email. Earned but unpaid commission through the date of resignation is paid out on the next scheduled payout. Renewal commission on existing customer accounts continues for 12 months after resignation, then ends.
